Our refund commitments.
This policy explains when refunds are available for Bookra subscriptions and add-ons, what is non-refundable, and how to request a refund.
Our Approach
We want you to be satisfied with Bookra. If you're not, the rules below explain when refunds are available, what isn't refundable, and how the process works through our payment provider, Paddle.
Free Trial
Every new salon starts with a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial, so nothing is charged and nothing needs to be refunded during this period. At the end of the trial, you can choose a paid plan to continue using the service.
Refund Window
Monthly plans (Lite, Professional). You may request a refund within 14 days of the first paid charge. Renewal charges in subsequent months are non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future renewals.
Annual plans. You may request a refund within 30 days of the first paid charge. After this window, annual plans are non-refundable for the remainder of the term, but the subscription will not auto-renew if cancelled.
Marketing Module add-on. Same window as the underlying subscription plan. If the module is added mid-cycle and you request a refund within the window, you are refunded the full module charge for that cycle.
What Is Non-Refundable
- WhatsApp message packages — once a package is purchased, it is non-refundable, even if some messages remain unused at the end of the billing cycle. This is because Meta charges us per message and per available delivery slot.
- Overage charges — messages already sent above your included allowance are non-refundable.
- Plan downgrades — when you downgrade mid-cycle, the difference is not refunded as cash. The downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
- Charges outside the refund window — renewal charges and add-on charges after the windows described in Section 3 are non-refundable.
Eligible Scenarios
Within the refund window, refunds are available for:
- Accidental duplicate charges.
- Billing errors on our side.
- Service unavailability that materially prevents you from using Bookra for an extended period (case-by-case basis).
- First-purchase dissatisfaction with the subscription within the listed window.
How to Request a Refund
Email hello@getbookra.com with:
- The email address on your Bookra account.
- The Paddle invoice number or transaction ID (visible in your billing emails).
- The reason for the refund request.
We acknowledge requests within 2 business days and resolve them within 7 business days.
How Refunds Are Issued
Approved refunds are processed by Paddle to the original payment method (card, wallet, or other) used at purchase. Refunds typically settle within 5-10 business days, depending on your payment provider and bank.
For currency-converted transactions, the refunded amount may differ slightly from the original charge due to exchange-rate movement between the purchase and refund dates. This is outside our control.
Disputes
If you have already opened a chargeback or dispute with your bank or card issuer, we ask that you contact us first — most disputes can be resolved faster directly with us than through the bank's dispute process. We work with Paddle to handle any disputes that do arise.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice.
