Rules for using Bookra.
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Bookra, including our website, salon management platform, staff tools, payment workflows, and customer communication features.
Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and GetBookra ("GetBookra", "Bookra", "we", "us") — an online software platform providing booking, business management, and customer engagement tools for service-based businesses. The Service is currently operated by its founder from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and will transition to a registered UAE legal entity upon incorporation. Once incorporated, this Agreement will continue with the incorporated entity as a successor without affecting your rights or obligations.
By accessing or using Bookra, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the platform on behalf of a salon or business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
Eligibility
Bookra is offered to businesses (salons, spas, clinics, and similar service providers) and their authorised staff. You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information, protecting your login credentials, and ensuring that all activity under your account complies with applicable law, Bookra's policies, and your customers' expectations.
One account per salon. Sharing credentials between salons is not permitted.
Subscriptions and Payments
Bookra is offered on a subscription basis with monthly and annual billing options. Prices and plan limits are published on our Pricing page.
Merchant of Record. Payments for Bookra subscriptions and add-ons are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, invoicing, currency conversion, and applicable taxes on our behalf. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current cycle.
Free trial. New salons receive a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial, you may select a paid plan to continue using the service.
Price changes. We may update prices from time to time. Existing subscribers receive notice before any price increase takes effect on their account.
Refunds. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
WhatsApp Messages and Add-ons
Bookra includes WhatsApp message functionality for appointment confirmations, reminders, and (where enabled) marketing campaigns. Message usage is metered separately from your subscription:
- Utility messages are billed via packages or per-message overage.
- Marketing messages require the Marketing Module add-on and are billed via separate packages or overage.
- Unused messages in a package expire at the end of each billing cycle and are non-refundable.
- You are responsible for compliance with Meta's WhatsApp Business Policy. Sending spam or abusing the messaging service may result in suspension of your account by Bookra and/or Meta.
Acceptable Use
You may not use Bookra to:
- Send spam, deceptive, or unsolicited communications.
- Violate the privacy or intellectual property rights of any person.
- Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
- Interfere with the security or operation of the platform.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the service.
- Use the service for any unlawful, abusive, or harmful purpose, or in a way that violates applicable consumer-protection or data-protection laws.
Customer Data and Communications
Salons use Bookra to store customer booking information and send communications via email and WhatsApp. As the salon, you are the controller of your customers' data and are responsible for using it lawfully and for obtaining any consents required by applicable law. Bookra acts as a processor on your behalf. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Intellectual Property
Bookra and all related software, content, and trademarks are owned by GetBookra or its licensors. You retain ownership of your own content and customer data; you grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content only as needed to operate the service.
Service Availability
We work to keep Bookra available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access at launch. The service is provided on a best-effort basis. We may schedule maintenance windows with reasonable notice.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms, creating a security risk, misusing the messaging or payment features, or exposing the platform to legal or operational harm. You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Bookra is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Bookra after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the competent courts of United Arab Emirates, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
